"During their relocation from the village of Korytniki, my father’s family managed to take with them all their household items. They loaded a carriage with all their things but on the road near Korytniki some Poles stole their horse and tossed their things all over the ground. My grandmother kissed their shoes so they wouldn’t kill the children. Maybe because of that they left all the things on the ground as they were. After that my grandmotheralways kept thinking about her prayer book that got lost somewhere on that dreadful day."
Born on 4th September 1961 in the village of Trościaniec Mały, Zolochiv County, Ukraine. Her mother, born in 1922, was deported to Siberia between 1945-1955. Her father, whose family was relocated to Ukraine in 1945, is originally from the village of Korytniki, near the Polish town Przemyśl.
Nadia worked as a laboratory assistant in Lvov; presently she is living on a disability pension in Kozaki.
